Church Hill Theatre is more than just a historic Art Deco landmark; it is the heartbeat of our local arts community. From sparking creativity in our youth to bringing high-quality performances to our rural stage, our mission is to ensure the performing arts remain accessible, diverse, and vibrant for everyone.

To keep the lights bright and the curtains rising, we need visionary leaders to help guide our path. We are currently seeking Board of Director nominations for the 2026-2029 term.

Why Serve on the CHT Board?

As a Board Member, you aren’t just a spectator—you are a steward of the arts. You will play a vital role in:

● Sustaining a Legacy: Preserving our historic venue in partnership with state and local heritage organizations.
● Empowering Artists: Creating opportunities for people of all backgrounds to perform and grow.
● Building Community: Strengthening the cultural fabric of our rural region through education and entertainment.

What We Are Looking For

We welcome all passionate arts advocates, but this year we are prioritizing individuals with professional experience in the following areas:

Member Expectations

To ensure the long-term sustainability of the theatre, Board Members commit to:

● Term: A three-year term of service.
● Meetings: Attendance at one monthly board meeting.
● Active Involvement: Participation in at least one standing committee (e.g., Marketing, Finance, Education, or Programming) and support CHT productions as a volunteer (e.g., House Manager, Concessions, Box Office).
● Advocacy: A dedication to the fiscal health and strategic growth of CHT.

  1. Prepare: A current resume and a brief statement of interest.
  2. Submit: Email your materials to nominations@churchhilltheatre.org.
  3. Deadline: All submissions must be received by Friday, May 8, 2026.
