CHURCH HILL THEATRE'S CASTING POLICY

Church Hill Theatre is committed to producing the finest possible productions utilizing only volunteer actors. Church Hill Theatre encourages anyone who is interested, regardless of experience, race, gender or personal beliefs, to audition and endeavors, whenever possible, to cast new faces and fresh talent through standard and/or non-traditional means to promote involvement. All roles, unless otherwise announced, are open to anyone auditioning without pre-casting or exclusion. If, after open auditions, the director believes that a particular role or roles cannot be satisfactorily cast, additional actors may be contacted for further auditions. Directors may, at their discretion, invite individuals to audition, but invited attendees are given no guarantees and will have no better chance at being cast in the show over anyone else auditioning. In the event an interested participant cannot attend regular auditions, they may audition at a pre-arranged time with the production staff at the director’s discretion. Callbacks will be held if necessary and those persons needed by the director will be contacted to attend. In most cases, final casting decisions will be made within 48 hours after the final callback audition. Church Hill Theatre is fully committed to continuing the growth of its talent and volunteer pools and we always endeavor to involve more of our community in all aspects of live, community theatre.
